x402 Facilitator — Payment Coordination Layer

The x402 Facilitator implements the HTTP 402 standard for AI agent transactions, acting as the authorization, metering, and settlement backbone between AI agents, service providers, and payment networks. It orchestrates the complete payment lifecycle — authorize, meter, redeem, and settle — in a single flow.

Key capabilities: fixed rates, cost-plus margins, and dynamic pricing; ERC-4337 smart accounts with session keys; cryptographic mandate proofs; REST API at <50ms p99 latency. SOC-2 Type II, ISO 27001, PCI SAQ-A, and GDPR compliant.

Card Delegation — Autonomous Card Payments

Card Delegation allows AI agents to make real card purchases autonomously within user-defined spending mandates, eliminating human approval on every transaction. When an agent hits a paywall, it includes an x402 payment header in the HTTP request — payment completes in milliseconds with no checkout or redirect.
