IXO Impact Tokenization & Carbon Credits

IXO provides end-to-end infrastructure for tokenizing real-world impact assets and issuing high-integrity carbon credits on the blockchain. The platform creates digital twins of physical assets — cookstoves, sensors, land plots, and energy devices — and issues tokenized impact credits with granular provenance metadata when verified outcomes are achieved.

RWA Tokenization Architecture

Each digital twin domain in the IXO Protocol comprises six components: decentralized identity (verifiable entity identifiers), controllers (governance and permissions), rights (autonomous execution rules), services (dynamic functionalities), resources (linked data and materials), and accounts (asset ownership and transfer). This architecture enables any real-world asset to be represented, tracked, and tokenized on-chain with full lifecycle management.

Carbon Credit Issuance

The platform's flagship implementation is the Clean Cooking dMRV (digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification) system, endorsed by the UC Berkeley Carbon Trading Project as generating high-integrity carbon credits. The system implements the Gold Standard Metered Methodology, measuring actual usage (such as biomass pellet purchases) rather than relying on random sample surveys. Each carbon certificate contains granular detail of all parameter values used in emission reduction calculations.

Live Deployments

The platform is actively generating carbon credits through partner Emerging Cooking Solutions (Supamoto) using Mimi Moto Tier 4/5 healthy cookstoves in Zambia. Carbon credits are used by organizations including ChildFund, Sigma Technology, Barnfonden, and the Clean Cooking Alliance.
