Cyberport operates three structured funding and grant programmes for blockchain, Web3.0, and digital technology companies at various stages of growth. Together, these programmes form the cornerstone of Cyberport's mission to grow Hong Kong's technology ecosystem by lowering barriers for early-stage innovators and accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies.
The CCMF is an early-stage seed funding programme providing up to HK$100,000 per project to high-potential digital tech startups and innovators. The six-month programme supports entrepreneurs in transforming innovative ideas into minimum viable products or prototypes ready for market testing. CCMF operates three targeted sub-programmes:
Grantees also receive guidance on value propositions and investor pitches, plus a pathway to the full Cyberport Incubation Programme.
A dedicated B2B subsidy programme designed to fund the development and testing of high-impact blockchain and Web3.0 applications across industries in Hong Kong. The scheme provides subsidy of up to 80% of total project expenses, with a maximum of HK$500,000 per project. Each eligible entity may apply for up to three pilot projects. Targeted blockchain and Web3.0 segments include digital assets, DeFi, NFTs, smart contracts, tokenisation, and decentralised identity. Participating technology companies partner with qualified industry sponsors to validate real-world applications.
Cyberport's flagship incubation programme provides up to HK$500,000 in financial assistance per incubatee over a 24-month journey. The programme includes an HK$200,000 on-site rental subsidy, access to Cyberport's 2,300+ company network, business development support, mentorship, and market access across the Greater Bay Area, Middle East, ASEAN, and Belt and Road regions. The programme has supported hundreds of startups including unicorns such as Animoca Brands and CertIK, with community companies collectively raising over US$5.92 billion in funding.
