Multi-level KYC

Transak's Multi-level KYC is a tiered identity verification solution designed for Web3 applications to onboard users faster and with reduced friction. It offers three levels of verification that unlock progressively higher transaction limits, giving platforms the flexibility to cater to different user segments from casual gamers to institutional users.

KYC Levels

Level 1 — Lite KYC: 30-second onboarding using just name and billing address. Designed for Web3 gaming, small transactions, and developing markets.

Level 2 — Standard KYC: ~10 minutes to onboard via liveness check, identity verification, and address verification. Supports transactions up to $20,000.

Level 3 — Enhanced KYC: ~1 day for comprehensive AML/compliance checks. Supports transactions up to $75,000 and beyond, designed for wallets, institutional dApps, and high-value use cases.

Transak's KYC is reusable — a user who completes KYC once with any Transak-integrated app can skip re-verification on other Transak-powered apps, enabling Web3 apps to onboard up to 2x more users compared to standard single-level approaches.

KYC Reliance

Transak KYC Reliance allows partner platforms to leverage Transak's already-collected user KYC data, applying it to the partner's own compliance and onboarding requirements. Rather than requiring users to re-submit identity documents on every new platform, KYC Reliance creates a shared, portable identity layer across the Transak ecosystem.

Partners receive verified user data instantly, bypassing lengthy verification queues, while the shared KYC data meets regulatory standards under Transak's FCA authorisation and MSB registration. Applicable for wallets, exchanges, DeFi platforms, and any Web3 app with its own KYC obligations.
