Crypto Tax Made Easy
Crypto Tax Made Easy is a specialist crypto accounting firm for Web3 businesses, DAOs,...
Elena Mocchi, CPA is a solo crypto records and reconciliation practice run by Elena Mocchi, a Florida-licensed Certified Public Accountant (license AC53185, verifiable via the Florida DBPR license search and CPAverify). The practice markets itself to U.S. crypto investors in all states, helping them turn scattered exchange exports, wallet histories, and crypto tax software imports into an organized, documented transaction record that their own CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) can review. Tax advice, return preparation, and filing are explicitly excluded from scope.
Records review (from $75 USD): an exchange and wallet inventory, a list of record gaps and software warnings, and a written cleanup plan. Also used as the entry point for Form 1099-DA reconciliation, where broker-reported proceeds are compared with exchange, wallet, and software records.
Transaction cleanup (from $200 USD): correction of the agreed transaction history, covering transfer matching, duplicate imports, and classification review (including DeFi, staking, and NFT entries), delivered as an organized ledger with correction notes and an open-items list.
CPA-ready handoff (from $350 USD): cleanup within scope plus a source index, reconciliation notes, and open questions assembled into one package for the client's CPA or EA. A short section of this page also invites CPA and EA practices to send in a client's crypto records for organization before their own review.
Divorce and estate crypto records: account and wallet inventories, holdings at an agreed date (date of separation or date of death), transfer trails, and cost basis records prepared for review by attorneys, executors, and CPAs.
Licensed CPA who documents every correction against its source record and keeps unresolved items visible in an open-items list.
Works from exports, statements, and public wallet addresses only; never asks for seed phrases, private keys, or account passwords.
Works with records from common crypto tax tools and exchanges (Koinly, CoinTracker, CoinTracking, CoinLedger, Summ, Coinbase, Kraken, Crypto.com, Robinhood, Binance.US) and follows U.S. digital asset reporting developments such as IRS Form 1099-DA.
Private, encrypted client portal (portal.elenamocchi.com) for uploads, quotes, and delivery; fixed quote after a free first look, with payment after delivery.
Extensive free recordkeeping guides covering missing cost basis, unmatched transfers, duplicate imports, 1099-DA mismatches, CP2000 notices, and inherited or gifted crypto basis.
Investors whose crypto tax software shows warnings, or whose broker 1099-DA does not match their records, get a traceable ledger prepared by a licensed CPA and a documented handoff for their existing tax preparer. Scope, price, and timeline are agreed in writing before work begins. Engagements are delivered remotely, and clients can reach the practice by email, the inquiry form, or Telegram.
